FAQ

New to pilates or to PilatesFit Plus studio? Here’s everything you need to know!

+ What should I wear?

Wear comfortable workout clothes. You’ll be lying down some of the time with your hands or legs in the air so make sure your clothes move with you. You don’t wear shoes in class. Regular socks will make you slide too much and can be unsafe. We suggest you purchase our grip socks (or bring them along if you have some already) or go barefoot!

+ What should I do if I am new?

If you have no prior group reformer pilates class experience be sure to book into our signature lass "Reformer All" or oiur "Small Group Class". Please arrive 10 minutes before your first class to meet your instructor so you can be given a rundown on the equipment and you can let her know of any injuries you have, or have had previously.

+ Why do you use Reformer Pilates beds?

Pilates reformer machines are the ultimate choice for lean muscle toning due to the adjustable finely tuned spring loaded resistance and the wide variety of exercises available. Springs help to lengthen and strengthen muscles.. The springs are useful to provide both assistance in some exercises and added resistance challenge in others, making it an invaluable tool.

+ How do I cancel a booking?

Cancellations can be made from your account on the MOMENCE App of PilatesFit Plus or over the phone. For all Reformer Pilates you can freely cancel up to 9 hours prior to the class start time. If you cancel less than 9 hours before the start of class, this will count as a late-cancel. If you late cancel or no-show and are on a class pass or casual pass you will lose a credit.

+ I'm Pregnant

Even if you have just found out you are pregnant your instructor needs to know. We can note this on your profile and how many weeks. Your information is completely confidential. Pregnant clients need to avoid certain movements and positions during different stages of their pregnancy, your Instructor can help you with this. We recommend just participating in our Reformer All, unless you have had a consistent practice leading up to your pregnancy.

+ Is there Studio Etiquette?

Arrive at least 5 minutes before class. All group classes start promptly so for the safety and enjoyment of all participants you cannot enter class after the class starts. If you need to leave a class early, please notify your instructor prior to class. Please wipe down your reformer bed at the end of each class. If you have any personal items please store them on the table near the door as you walk in and place your shoes on the shoe rack outside the studio. Phones can be distracting to you and others so please switch your phone to silent of turn off before class starts.
